Neurology Foundation
Neurology Foundation is a Charitable Public Trust established in 1998 by Professor BhimSinghal. It has been registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act (Registration No. E17626 Mumbai). Neurology Foundation is also accredited by the Maharashtra Medical Council. Neurology Foundation believes in serving the community through its motto "Knowledge and Care". Neurology Foundation focuses on reaching out to patients suffering from neurological disorders including Alzheimers disease, Stroke, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Scelrosis, Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy amongst many others. In addition to providing individualized financial aid to patients, the Foundation also promotes community outreach programmes and education of healthcare workers and families of patients.Educating the medical fraternity which includes medical students, physicians and neurologists is also an important objective of the Foundation.

Neurology Foundation was established by Dr. Bhim Singhal - one of the most respected and reputed neurologists in the country as well as internationally. Dr. Singhal has etched a place for himself in the history of the medical field, with more than 60 years of experience. He set up the foundation in 1998, keenly interested in helping people suffering from neurological conditions and their care beyond medications. Currently, Director of Neurology at Bombay Hospital, Dr. Singhal has been actively promoting the cause of Neurology. He has also established the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Society in 2001 where he now serves as Honorary Secretary.
Dr. Singhal has received numerous awards for his contributions to the field of Neurology - Karmayogi Puraskar Award, Rajasthan Ratna Award, Dr. B. C. Roy National Award, Priyadarshini Academy National Award, Wockhardt Award, Dhanvantari Award and Rameshwardas Birla National Award. He is also the Founder and Chairperson of Neurology Update Mumbai, the Principal educational programme of Neurology Foundation.
Ms. Girotra has been instrumental in many of India's prestigious M & A deals and is now Chief Executive Officer of Moelis & Company India. Earlier Ms. Girotra had a 16 year career with UBS where she served as the Chief Executive Officer & Country Head in India managing its investment bank, commercial bank, markets, equity research and wealth management divisions. In addition she is also a Member of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of Ashok Leyland Limited.
Mr. Nimesh Kampani is the founder and chairman of JM Financial Group, one of India's leading players in the financial services space. In his career spanning over four decades, Mr. Kampani has made pioneering contribution to the development of the Indian capital markets and has advised several corporates on their strategic and financial needs, especially, capital raising and mergers & acquisitions, investors on the focus areas for investing, Regulators and Law Makers on progressive regulations for development of financial markets and corporate activities. Mr. Kampani serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Directors of several leading Indian companies such as Apollo Tyres Limited, Britannia Industries Limited and Deepak Nitrite Limited. Mr. Kampani has served as a member on several important committees constituted by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, Reserve Bank of India, Securities and Exchange Board of India, Bombay Stock Exchange Limited, National Stock Exchange Limited, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Dr. Lalkaka is a Neurologist and specialist in Parkinson's disease and Movement Disorders. Having been interested in the plight of people suffering from a lifelong illness like Parkinson's and other movement disorders, he, along with the other founders was instrumental in setting up the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Society. Currently, a consultant Neurologist at Bombay Hospital, Saifee Hospital & Parsi General Hospital, Mumbai, Dr. Lalkaka is avidly involved in the work of the society, being the editor of the newsletter 'Movement', as well as, the Treasurer of the Society. He is also a member of the organising council of the biennial continuing medical education programme organised by Neurology Foundation- Neurology Update Mumbai.
Dr. Mansukhani is a graduate from Seth G.S. Medical College and KEM Hospital. She is a trained Clinical Neurophysiologist, working at the Bombay Hospital and K.E.M. Hospital. Dr. Mansukhani has dedicated her professional career to the diagnosis of nerve and muscle disorders. She is a reputed teacher and has established teaching programmes in this field. A strong association with Chinmaya Mission has given her the opportunity to work in various projects related to social causes. Dr. Mansukhani is a member of the organising council of the Neurology Update Mumbai.
Mr. Rupani, Chairman Emeritus of Priyadarshni Academy, who believes that Success is Our Birthright, has proven that one does not have to be extraordinarily placed, to rise in life. With a strong will and unwavering conviction he has created an empire of goodwill with nothing more than a dream as his primary investment. He held many prestigious positions, which include Regional President, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce – WIC and Co-Chairman, Maharashtra Region, FICCI amongst many others. He has been instrumental in organizing numerous welfare projects for the poor and downtrodden.
Dr. Viraj Sanghi is a senior consultant Paediatric Neurologist at SRCC Children's Hospital in Mumbai. Dr. Sanghi is a consultant Paediatric Neurologist at the Bombay Hospital and Saifee Hospital Mumbai. He is a visiting consultant at the KEM Hospital & Seth G.S. Medical College in Mumbai. Dr. Viraj Sanghi is also on the organising council of Neurology Update Mumbai.
Ms. Vania is a founder member and trustee of the Neurology Foundation. She is the administrative executive of the neurology department. She has worked tirelessly for the cause of Neurology since the last four decades.
